2025 Harambee Achievement Ceremony

At the end of every academic year, the Black Resource Center hosts our annual Harambee Achievement Ceremony The Harambee Achievement Ceremony is a  celebration to honor students who have successfully completed an undergraduate or graduate/professional degree from the University of California San Diego. The event recognizes their accomplishment and provides an opportunity for graduates to honor significant people who have helped them achieve their goal. The ceremony recognizes the importance of  scholarship and extends the sense of community and belonging. The intimate ceremony is representative of African and African-American culture and includes a Kente Stole presentation.

The 2025 Harambee Achievement Ceremony will take place Friday, June 13th at 4:00pm in LionTree arena. A refundable deposits of $20 must be submitted via eventbrite. Please submit your payment to reserve your spot in the ceremony. Students who do not submit their payment and complete their registration by Friday, May 2, 2025 may risk being unable to participate in the ceremony. Both registration and payment are necessary to confirm your participation in the Harambee Achievement Ceremony.
