Not Built for Me: Exploring Student Perspectives on Accessibility and Inclusion at UCSD
Sophia Davit, Daniela De La Torre, and Vianca Zavala, who are students at UCSD, are conducting research among UCSD undergraduate and graduate students to find out more about the relationship between perceived campus accessibility barriers and student experience among individuals with mobility challenges at UCSD.

The purpose of this study is to help us better understand how inaccessibility and physical on-campus barriers at UCSD impact student’s academic performance, social life, and mental-wellbeing. Through our research, we hope to foster dialogue between students and university administration about ways to create a more inclusive UCSD campus environment, and to inspire future improvements that prioritize accessibility for students with mobility impairments.
