The Digital Health Checklist (DHC) was created through an iterative research process with a goal of helping researchers who use, or plan to use digital tools and/or strategies (e.g., wearable sensors, mobile apps, social media platforms) make informed decisions during the early stages of research design. Please visit our publication page to read about our process and to learn more about what our ReCODE Health team is working on: https://escholarship.org/uc/recodehealth
The DHC is a practical tool that is built upon a framework ground in the ethical principles described in the Belmont and Menlo Reports. Four intersecting domains were identified as key to ethical decision making and include: Access and Usability, Risks and Benefits, Privacy and Data Management.
The DHC is a work in progress and we welcome your input to make it more useful. After using the checklist, please submit your feedback: https://forms.gle/uuSKPGigHzcEekvE6
The Digital Health Checklist is a ReCODE Health resource. Please direct your questions/comments to Dr. Camille Nebeker at nebeker@ucsd.edu.
