Application for the Leading the Advancement of Neuroscientists for Change (LAUNCH) Program

 

LAUNCH is an all-expense paid, faculty development program that provides research training, professional development, and mentorship for underrepresented early career researchers in neuroscience. Sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), this program requires a one-year commitment and begins with a virtual Summer Institute held July 12-23, 2021, followed by a 2-day Mid-year Meeting and second Summer Institute in 2022 held in San Diego. Participants will choose one of three research tracks to be mentored and trained: Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias; Cellular, Developmental and Molecular Neuroscience; Computational Systems Neuroscience.

Note that your application must include the following to be considered complete:
  1. Two recommendations (one from your Department Chair and one from a former mentor) emailed directly from your referees to hsfacaffairs@ucsd.edu. Note: The applicant is responsible for conveying this information to the referees and ensuring timely submission of the recommendation letters.
  2. Uploaded Curriculum Vitae (CV - Word of PDF format)
  3. Uploaded “Statement of Research Interest” (Word or PDF format)
