Campus Sustainability Highlights & Efforts Survey
UC San Diego is embarking on the preparation of its next comprehensive sustainability report. The framework for the report is called the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS). STARS is managed by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
Approximately 1,000 institutions across the world participate in AASHE STARS, which encompasses 20 topic areas with more than 1,200 quantitative and qualitative measurements. The STARS score and rating for UC San Diego is based on a comprehensive evaluation of overall sustainability performance including academics and research, campus and public engagement, operations, & wellbeing and EDI.
We seek your participation in this survey to ensure all UC San Diego sustainability efforts and accomplishments are appropriately captured in the overall report. Click here to view the Principles of Sustainability driving campus efforts.
This survey will close at 11:59pm on Sunday, June 16, 2024. All UC San Diego students, staff, faculty, and alumni are encouraged to participate. The next screen will request your UCSD Duo Authentication.
This effort is being led by Utilities & Sustainability. Please note this survey is not anonymous. Staff may follow-up if additional information is requested. Please contact sustain@ucsd.edu with any questions.
